Cake for dieters???

                        How cute are theese? They are made by the very talented Catherine, at Pipinopolis (see my blog list). Great if your on a diet lol, or just like beautiful things to look at. One thing's for sure they will last a lot longer than my cakes!!                                       

One good turn deserves another

Some yummy chocolate fudge cakes I made for a charity auction last week.

I wanted to make a contribution to a charity evening last week, as it was organised by a lovely woman Emilia, who has a beautiful bridal shop, Bridal Elegance in nearby Llanelli. I have two dummy cakes in her shop, and I was so excited when she agreed to take them I had a little squeal of delight, when I got back to my car. Made sure I was out of earshot though, I thought it wouldn't look very professional!! 

Anyway.... this afternoon I had a phonecall, from a woman who had seen my name, and the above cupcakes, via a post from Bridal Elegance, she came over this evening and booked a birthday cake for her daughter, AND her friend,who is getting married later this year, is interested in me making her wedding cake!!!

Ooooooh I love my job

It's official, I now have my own cake making business!

How does it feel? Well if I'm totaly honest, it's a mixture of relief, excitement and sheer terror!!

It's been such steep learning curve for me, if you'd told me this time last year, that I would have built a website, I would have thought you were bonkers. Ok it's not the best website you will have ever seen, but I hope it's not the worst. Take a look and let me know, please be gentle with me.

Now that all the boring stuff is done, I can get started on the fun part, making and decorating cakes. I'm sure there will be plenty of ups and downs, and I hope you will come along on the journey with me, and see what it's like  to run a cake making businessfrom the inside.
